Behind the Scenes: Struggle to ASEAN Youth Camping 14-15 April 2012 -SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT!!

Frankly, I had never thought that I would join such a really cool program like this before! From a post of someone in a group of 'Students and Youth Forum (South Sulawesi)' in FB i.e., the previous program that I had attended before, I open the link and found it a bit complicated with some of the requirements, e.g., must represent of any instution of youth. So, I postponed to fill the form registration and continue life(DO NOT duplicate this bad attitude that just would get you too far from your success!)



As the time flies, I didn't remember that the deadline is coming until I saw a post from the administrator that said "Two hours left before online registration to ASEAN Culture Camp 2012 is closed"! So, without any excuse and plan on the next weekend that also already got valid information about how to fill it, I finished it few minutes before the registration really closed!! Next two days, I got the notification again that said they will announce the top 25 candidates to be part of this exciting event by email no later than Sunday, April 8, 2012. But until the time, I didn't get any notification yet then I thought it just too late for me to submit the form but I will remember a quote that said "If you're meant to be there then you will get there!" and another one: "There will be NEVER TOO LATE to TRY/LEARN something", you might believe that too. :)

Finally, after four days passed after the main list announced, I got an email two days before the events in the earlier morning that said there will be extra 15seats more for extraordinary people like me :p, the additional will get "privillage" to enjoy the night in their own home, i.e., will not get hotel accommodation, but surprisingly at the night when the first day was over, all of the extra participants able to enjoy the hotel accomodation! Thanks for the committees, especially for the Office of Tourism and Culture of South Sulawesi Province for the great services. So, As I thought it my last opportunity, I sent all the documents that requested. And I did a mistake again, but a small one. I forgot to attach my gorgeus picture so they request it, what could I say? :)

DAY ONE, APRIL 14 2012



I arrived at the venue-Gedung Mulo about 8am. I was in hurry until I realize that everything was running very smoothly. There's I met bunch of talented youths with high spirit, bright mission and have same concern about world future from diffrent races and cultures such as USA, BELGIUM, JAPAN, CHINA, MALAYSIA, and of course INDONESIA! Not waiting too long, the two bus that will took us to the venue was came but we stop by at the hotel first. Some of us did check in and put their belongings there then we continue to Somba Opu Fort.









The program was gave me so much insights, both about my local and international undertanding comprehension. Even, this program contributed to let local and foreigner have a deep knowlegde about historical places and values that left.







We learn about culture of South Sulawesi, especially the values from the ethnics that adopted.

We also visited the Karaeng Pattingalloang Museum in Somba Opu Fort. In another chance, we have our main program that is simulation conference like what United Nations did. About the simulation itself, it's a new thing for me and that's really interesting. I learn many things from the conference refer to the issue that we had discussed. As a youth, I have to know what is the big problems from each countries to develop their home countries. By know the problems, each countries can also found it either as a threat and learning lesson to be adopted. I was got a chance as representation for Philippines Delegate together with my sleepy fun partner from USA, Riley! It's found to be so strange and difficult at first time. But, since it was just the simulation we had a lot of fun while also serious at the same time. The moderator which is the administrator managed it very well and we just made it great!

Philippines Delegates and Pakistan Delegates in ASEAN Youth Conference



Other than the culture learning that given from Mr Nudingram(sorry if it's misspelled) - Head of Tourism and Culture of South Sulawesi Province, conference simulation from Mr Biondi and Mr Achie, we also had lot of exciting programs! There are lot of fun games that handled by Mr Satkar. For a game session, we are divided to 6 groups that contain of 6-7people. I was selected in group one together with Putri(Ina), Mita(Ina), Shima(May), Yana(May), and Jeremy(Usa) as the leader. One of the great game was trying built a tower as high as possible with teams and we out as the winner! Not stop until that, we recognised as the BEST team after all. Proud to cooperate and be a part with you guys! :)



At the night, there was a barbecue party and after that we had a cultural performance that's so marvelous! There were participants represented their ability in dance, cultural presentation, attraction, tips, sing, etc. Accompanied with bonfire, the night was so fun and all of us rejoice in that. Before midnight, we back to Hotel and have a rest for tomorrow.



DAY TWO, APRIL 15 2012



After checkout, we back to Somba Opu fort to continue the schedules. In second day, we still have few last session and discuss the paper of works that made by some delegations about the main problems that each countries had to be concern and pull the red thread then trying to make the final resolution from the conference. As the conference should be finished soon, suddenly each delegates very eager to express their opinions that it just heating up! :p Because the different concern and lot of opinions, we didnt get the final resolution from this conference. That is no a problem after all. The important ones is that we more aware with the issue about sustainable development now and know each countries problems that we as youth could spread this to everyone especially to the the governance and together help them to resolve it.



After the conference end, there were awards announcement for best female&male delegation, best cultural performance, best costume, funny delegates, serious delegates, and best team. There was also closing ceremony and video made from some people about their opinion about this event and documentation of this event that's so fun! ^^



Overall, my sacrify to attend this great prorgam is nothing to be compared with bunch of the experiences, knowledge, and friendship!! :D To be part of this youth event, it realize me and open my sight that what I know about world problems is nothing! It's re-enforce me about my responsible as a YOUTH! What is my contribution to my home country, especially in Indonesia that I had gave?? Hope it's not just the spirit of a moment but we as young leader have to concern about the global issued and cooperate to find the solutions.



Thanks for Tourism and Culture Office of South Sulawesi Province who is able to held this great promram together with Delegate Relations of 2012 ASEAN Culture Camp Mr Biondi, Mr Satkar, and Mr Achie. And to be noted, the coordinator of the events Mr Ashry (Gego) and all the committees, who had made this events very well prepared! At least but not Last, thanks for all the delegates from each countries that without you the event will not be realized and found fun! See you on the next conference and events guys.. :)

Being a Participant of Youth Exchange Program to Overseas

Hello everyone!! :D

Long time no post, today I will sharing about my experience in about two last week.

So, I just gave a shot to join Pertukaran Pelajar Antar Negara (PPAN) program. This program actually consist for youth people that will be send as ambassador from each country which about 28people to join in every kind of exchange program. From the program, all participant countries hope there will be a mutual understanding from each participants as a young ambassador leader, so after joining this program and back to home countries as next leader they can have good relationship with another countries. The programs exchange are for Canada, Ship of South Asean Youthness Exchange Program and Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Korea, and China. Last two program have been closed. This year just one place for the man which is Indonesia Canada Youth Exchange Program and the other is for woman. So, I have been register to this Canada program.

After fill the form and join the first interview I was selected  to continue for next selection that will be test four kind of eligibility which are about culture, pshycology, knowledge, english, and personality. I was perform three kind of art which includes singing, playing traditional instrument(angklung), and dance(Ganrang Bulo).

Waiting the announcement was the hillarious moment! And finally, Monday @7pm on 2April, my name was not come up as Top5! I was gave it all the decision to God and let it go whatever it would be. For the good news, my two friends was selected as candidate for the Ship and Australia program! It was more than enough. I know there will be another way for me to go there.. God always have a great plan for each of us :)

And for now, we have passed Palm Week and are getting to celebrate White Thursday, Great Friday, Holy Saturday, and of course wanna say Happy Easter Day!!

What's new??

Hello everybody, sorry that this blog couldn't be update anytime but i'm trying to.. :)

Recently I have just back from other town both with trip and business trip. Last trip was at Surabaya, Bali and stop by at Lombok! :D

There are such a really great trip that so full of experience and also the schedules was very tight!..

Now, when I typing this article, I just make my business plan! Just for your information, I never make business plan that details, I just working on it. Like many people, I just try to sell my product as much and my goal is profit oriented. But, reading an article I start realize that what's important in developing a business is the entity or the business plan indeed.

Where to start?

As simple with identifying and answer questions about What, Who, and How.

-What are you selling? it represent your main goal on your business to be achieve

-Who will be your customer? People that potential to buy product that you sell, not only interest and like it.

-How to sell? If you can identifying What and Who question, You will be able to know how to sell your product, what's the media and how you will promote it.

Sounds interesting? Yeah, it is! :)

So, now I'm focus to start make my business better and hope can launching it sooner formally. Need your pray on it guys..

Keep on Traveling to keep Updated!!

Semakin menyadari pentingnya traveling ke seluruh belahan bumi.. 

The farther you go,  u'll be more love ur own country, realize that many things in your own country is much more beautiful and better than others.. 

Tidak dapat dipungkiri banyak wisatawan yang lebih mengenal suatu daerah atau kawasan daripada penduduk yang mendiami wilayah tersebut.. Mengapa demikian?

Karena sesungguhnya orang yang hanya tinggal dan mendiami lingkungan yang itu-itu saja tanpa pernah melihat dunia atau pergi ke tempat lain merasa sungguh telah mengenali seluruh tempat yang ada di sekitarnya tapi karena pemikiran itu malah yang membuat mereka berhenti mencari dan menemukan tempat baru di wilayah mereka untuk dituju yang mereka belum ketahui, sehingga mereka memang pasti hanya tau daerah yang hanya benar-benar mereka lalui setiap hari. Jadi jangan heran kalau pasti ada saja pertanyaan yang tidak dapat kita jawab dari wisatawan yang berkunjung ke daerah kita mengenai suatu tempat walaupun kita mendiami atau tinggal di sekitar situ.

January
Fulfill my dreams backpacking to Malaysia, Thailand Singapore, Hongkong, and Macau. What a great and unforgettable moments in my life! It was a new starting point in my life by having new perspective see the world. Praise the Lord!! Miss the moments with my travel partner in crime, 3 wonder girls. LOL


February,Maret
Started my study after the vacation, nothing spesial. Maybe just got new idea for developing Real Estate.


April
Prepare my trip to Japan, buy return ticket. It was a great deal! How could I refuse it? :p
Even I wonder with the budget condition and situation relate with the radiation. But one thing to be remember,  'Worries getting you NOWHERE'!! Booked and Go! :)


May
I was studied and had being full with assignment and prepare for final exam.


June, July
Vacation in hometown Makassar while working hard prepare my trip. Attend some seminar in last July about motivation, financial planner and business. Yeah, I like to invest my money for my brain. I thought it just priceless and give many benefit while open new perspective for my brains!!


August
Earlier of this month I was busy prepare my visa to Japan. I was confused that should go or not two weeks before the X day. Finally I decided to go, even many people said it's not safe but actually the people who lived there told me the different. I was driven in crazy, I prepare the visa just 4days! Even, the visa just approved few hours different with my check in time in airport!!  But, as the proverb said, "If you're meant to be there then You'll get there." And finally, I could made it!! :)

September
Back from Japan, go to Kuala Lumpur and continue heading to Jakarta, passed Lebaran holidays there with family and really having great times! Price less! :)

October
This month was for English preparation. I took toefl course for my scholar requirements. After having about twenty times face-to-face at the class, we have 2 weeks for the placement day. The test was delayed from the  initial scheduled that my deadline for scholar already passed. And finally, after 3weeks, I was informed that my score was below the requirements. It was surprised me, I thought I could make it! After all, I realize that I need much time to learn, learn, and again! And by traveling I think it works! :)


November
Middle of this month my Grandma was fallen again and was picked up to hospital, about couple days, fter had getting better she was died. She was very humble and kind heart, we really miss her in time. God took her earlier because He more love her. May she rest in peace. Amien.


December
Join few business seminar and attended investment seminar. Make sure what's my passion really is, searched many informations from internet and books, prepare for Christmas and new year. I plan to go somewhere in new year but finally cancelled it due to the situation and condition. Now planning and make life, business, and travel resolution for next year, what to improve, to develop, to achieve, and fulfillment to reach.


Thanks a lot for my family, friends, colleagues, co-workers, travel mates, fellows and all people that have contributed along the 2011, it was a prosperious year!! You all the best!! Thanks in advance :)

May next year will be more sparkling and stunning!! Amien.

Baca dulu sampai selesai, sumpah anda bakal nangis dan berlinang air mata !!!

Banyak sebenarnya yang tidak tahu dimanakah negara terkaya di planet bumi ini, ada yang mengatakan Amerika, ada juga yang mengatakan negera-negara di timur tengah. tidak...!!! Anda salah sebenarnya, contohnya amerika. negara super power itu memiliki tingkat kemajuan teknologi yang hanya bisa disaingi segelintir negara, contoh lain lagi adalah negara-negara di timur tengah.Rata-rata negara yang tertutup gurun pasir dan cuaca yang menyengat itu mengandung jutaan barrel minyak yang siap untuk diolah. tapi itu semua belum cukup untuk menyamai negara yang satu ini. bahkan Amerika, Negara-negara timur tengah serta Uni Eropa-pun tak mampu menyamainya.dan inilah negara terkaya di planet bumi yang luput dari perhatian warga bumi lainya. warga negara ini pastilah bangga jika mereka tahu. tapi sayangnya mereka tidak sadar "berdiri di atas berlian" langsung saja kita lihat profil negaranya.

Wooww... Apa yang terjadi? apakah penulis (saya) salah? tapi dengan tegas saya nyatakan bahwa negara itulah sebagai negara terkaya di dunia. tapi bukankah negara itu sedang dalam kondisi terpuruk? hutang dimana-mana, kemiskinan, korupsi yang meraja lela, kondisi moral bangsa yang kian menurun serta masalah-masalah lain yang sedang menyelimuti negara itu.baiklah mari kita urai semuanya satu persatu sehingga kita bisa melihat kekayaan negara ini sesungguhnya.

1. Negara ini punya pertambangan emas terbesar dengan kualitas emas terbaik di dunia. namanya PT Freeport.

pertambangan ini telah mengasilkan 7,3 JUTA ton tembaga dan 724,7 JUTA ton emas. saya (penulis= suranegara) mencoba meng-Uangkan jumlah tersebut dengan harga per gram emas sekarang, saya anggap Rp. 300.000. dikali 724,7 JUTA ton emas/ 724.700.000.000.000 Gram dikali Rp 300.000. = Rp.217.410.000.000.000.000.000 Rupiah!!!!! ada yang bisa bantu saya cara baca nilai tersebut? itu hanya emas belum lagi tembaga serta bahan mineral lain-nya.lalu siapa yang mengelola pertambangan ini? bukan negara ini tapi AMERIKA! prosentasenya adalah 1% untuk negara pemilik tanah dan 99% untuk amerika sebagai negara yang memiliki teknologi untuk melakukan pertambangan disana. bahkan ketika emas dan tembaga disana mulai menipis ternyata dibawah lapisan emas dan tembaga tepatnya di kedalaman 400 meter ditemukan kandungan mineral yang harganya 100 kali lebih mahal dari pada emas, ya.. dialah URANIUM! bahan baku pembuatan bahan bakar nuklir itu ditemukan disana. belum jelas jumlah kandungan uranium yang ditemukan disana, tapi kabar terakhir yang beredar menurut para ahli kandungan uranium disana cukup untuk membuat pembangkit listrik Nuklir dengan tenaga yang dapat menerangi seluruh bumi hanya dengan kandungan uranium disana. Freeport banyak berjasa bagi segelintir pejabat negeri ini, para jenderal dan juga para politisi busuk, yang bisa menikmati hidup dengan bergelimang harta dengan memiskinkan bangsa ini. Mereka ini tidak lebih baik daripada seekor lintah!


2. Negara ini punya cadangan gas alam TERBESAR DI DUNIA! tepatnya di Blok Natuna.
Berapa kandungan gas di blok natuna? Blok Natuna D Alpha memiliki cadangan gas hingga 202 TRILIUN kaki kubik!! dan masih banyak Blok-Blok penghasil tambang dan minyak seperti Blok Cepu dll. DIKELOLA SIAPA? EXXON MOBIL! dibantu sama Pertamina.

3. Negara ini punya Hutan Tropis terbesar di dunia. hutan tropis ini memiliki luas 39.549.447 Hektar, dengan keanekaragaman hayati dan plasmanutfah terlengkap di dunia.

Letaknya di pulau sumatra, kalimantan dan sulawesi.sebenarnya jika negara ini menginginkan kiamat sangat mudah saja buatmereka. tebang saja semua pohon di hutan itu makan bumi pasti kiamat.karena bumi ini sangat tergantung sekali dengan hutan tropis ini untukmenjaga keseimbangan iklim karena hutan hujan amazon tak cukup kuatuntuk menyeimbangkan iklim bumi. dan sekarang mereka sedikit demi sedikitelah mengkancurkanya hanya untuk segelintir orang yang punya uanguntuk perkebunan dan lapangan Golf. sungguh sangat ironis sekali.

4. Negara ini punya Lautan terluas di dunia. dikelilingi dua samudra, yaitu Pasific dan Hindia hingga tidak heran memiliki jutaan spesies ikan yang tidak dimiliki negara lain.

Saking kaya-nya laut negara ini sampai-sampai negara lain pun ikut memanen ikan di lautan negara ini.

5. Negara ini punya jumlah penduduk terbesar ke 4 didunia.
Bengan jumlah penduduk segitu harusnya banyak orang-orang pintar yang telah dihasilkan negara ini, tapi pemerintah menelantarkan mereka-mereka. sebagai sifat manusia yang ingin bertahan hidup tentu saja mereka ingin di hargai. jalan lainya adalah keluar dari negara ini dan memilih membela negara lain yang bisa menganggap mereka dengan nilai yang pantas.

6. Negara ini memiliki tanah yang sangat subur. karena memiliki banyak gunung berapi yang aktif menjadikan tanah di negara ini sangat subur terlebih lagi negara ini dilintasi garis katulistiwa yang banyak terdapat sinar matahari dan hujan.

Jika dibandingkan dengan negara-negara timur tengah yang memiliki minyak yang sangat melimpah negara ini tentu saja jauh lebih kaya. coba kita semua bayangkan karena hasil mineral itu tak bisa diperbaharui dengan cepat. dan ketika seluruh minyak mereka telah habis maka mereka akan menjadi negara yang miskin karena mereka tidak memiliki tanah sesubur negara ini yang bisa ditanami apapun juga. bahkan tongkat kayu dan batu jadi tanaman.

7. Negara ini punya pemandangan yang sangat eksotis dan lagi-lagi tak ada negara yang bisa menyamainya. dari puncak gunung hingga ke dasar laut bisa kita temui di negara ini.

dialah negara ....INDONESIA! Negaraku...!!! Negaranya kita semua yg sedang membaca artikel ini...!!!! Negaranya kakek buyut kita...!!!! Negaranya anak2 kita.... dan pewaris cucu...kita !!!!

untuk EXXON MOBIL OIL, FREEPORT, SHELL, PETRONAS dan semua PEJABAT NEGARA yang menjual kekayaan Bangsa untuk keuntungan negara asing, diucapkan TERIMA KASIH.

Negara ini sangat amat kaya sekali, tak ada bangsa atau negara lain sekaya INDONESIA! tapi apa yang terjadi....?

Sebuah cerita lelucon yg mungkin akan bisa menggambarkan indonesia saat ini silahkan disimak.

Suatu hari Tuhan tersenyum puas melihat sebuah planet yang baru saja diciptakan- Nya. Malaikat pun bertanya, "Apa yang baru saja Engkau ciptakan, Tuhan?" "Lihatlah, Aku baru saja menciptakan sebuah planet biru yang bernama Bumi," kata Tuhan sambil menambahkan beberapa awan di atas daerah hutan hujan Amazon. Tuhan melanjutkan, "Ini akan menjadi planet yang luar biasa dari yang pernah Aku ciptakan. Di planet baru ini, segalanya akan terjadi secara seimbang".Lalu Tuhan menjelaskan kepada malaikat tentang Benua Eropa. Di Eropa sebelah utara, Tuhan menciptakan tanah yang penuh peluang dan menyenangkan seperti Inggris, Skotlandia dan Perancis. Tetapi di daerah itu, Tuhan juga menciptakan hawa dingin yang menusuk tulang.Di Eropa bagian selatan, Tuhan menciptakan masyarakat yang agak miskin, seperti Spanyol dan Portugal, tetapi banyak sinar matahari dan hangat serta pemandangan eksotis di Selat Gibraltar.Lalu malaikat menunjuk sebuah kepulauan sambil berseru, "Lalu daerah apakah itu Tuhan?" "O, itu," kata Tuhan, "itu Indonesia. Negara yang sangat kaya dan sangat cantik di planet bumi. Ada jutaan flora dan fauna yang telah Aku ciptakan di sana. Ada jutaan ikan segar di laut yang siap panen. Banyak sinar matahari dan hujan. Penduduknya Ku ciptakan ramah tamah,suka menolong dan berkebudayaan yang beraneka warna. Mereka pekerja keras, siap hidup sederhana dan bersahaja serta mencintai seni."Dengan terheran-heran, malaikat pun protes, "Lho, katanya tadi setiap negara akan diciptakan dengan keseimbangan. Kok Indonesia baik-baik semua. Lalu dimana letak keseimbangannya? "Tuhan pun menjawab dalam bahasa Inggris, "Wait, until you see the idiots I put in the government." (tunggu sampai Saya menaruh 'idiot2′ di pemerintahannya)

Dan untuk rasa terima kasih untuk Kemerdekaan Indonesia yang ke 66 tahun, kami pemuda-pemudi Indonesia memberikan penghargaan sebesar-besarnya kepada pejuang yang telah mengorbankan darah dan air mata mereka untuk bangsa yang tidak tahu terima kasih ini.

Finding Your Passion!!

Beberapa hari ini saya selalu berpikir keras menemukan passion saya. Saya banyak menyendiri dan merenung apa sebenarnya yang saya sukai tapi tidak hanya sekedar suka tetapi pada sesuatu yang benar-benar merupakan purpose of life, values, fullfilment, dan happiness dalam hidup saya seperti dalam buku 'Your Passion Is Not Your Career' yang ditulis oleh Rene Suhardono. 

Buku ini sangat membantu saya dalam berpikir keras menemukan passion saya. Mencari Passion tidak sama dengan sebatas memilih pekerjaan yang disukai. Passion lebih mengarah kepada tujuan karier yang merupakan perjalanan hidup kita sendiri yang menjalaninya, sedangkan Pekerjaan merupakan kendaraan atau alat dalam mencapai karier yang lebih baik. Pekerjaan itu milik perusahaan sedangkan karier itu milik kita sendiri, karier itu adalah diri kita secara personal. 

Sampai saat ini saya telah menemukan beberapa hal yang saya anggap merupakan passion saya salah duanya yaitu pertama menjadi traveling advisor seperti yang telah saya jalani sekarang ini dan membuka perusahaan travel sendiri serta menjadi travel author. Yang kedua yaitu segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan human relations, membangun hubungan dan membantu orang lain agar dapat hidup lebih baik dari waktu ke waktu dengan membagikan ilmu dan informasi yang saya miliki seperti menjadi pembicara ataupun konsultan, untuk lebih konkretnya mungkin lebih mengarah pada bidang finansial dimana masih banyak rakyat Indonesia belum bisa mandiri dalam hal finansial bahkan beberapa jauh dari hidup layak. 

Untuk sekarang ini saya fokus pada dua hal ini dan menyelesaikan kuliah di salah satu perguruan tinggi di Makassar. Semoga ke depannya rencana ini dapat berjalan beriringan, jika pun ada yang harus terseleksi lagi saya percaya Tuhan memberikan yang terbaik untuk saya atau mungkin akan ada waktunya.

Sekarang saya ingin menikmati hidup saya dengan passion yang telah saya pilih untuk menjadi karier saya. Jika pada suatu saat passion ini berubah mungkin saja karena ada passion lain yang lebih menarik yang belum saya temukan tapi saya berharap bisa fokus dan konsisten dengan pilihan yang telah saya ambil.

Mengutip buku karya Rene, cara yang paling mudah mulai menemukan passion yaitu dengan melakukan traveling, mengikuti atau bergabung dengan komunitas dan hobby baru, bertemu dan berkenalan dengan orang baru, mencoba makanan baru, dan lebih membuka diri serta bersosialisali dengan orang baru yang ada di sekitar kita.
